It’s been no secret from anyone who’s followed us from the start how much we’re absolutely in love with DENIM. Even though we basically sell #menswear, we’ve always had a piece in our collection dedicated to this incredibly unique, and well travelled fabric.
Our first collection featured two Italian Denim 6 fold ties, which I still have hanging in my closet. One of these was washed and beaten while the other remained raw. The washed tie endured all of the beating it took from the machine and the concrete we used to patina it, and now wears much lighter with so much character and color flecks.
Since then, we’ve always kept at least one denim piece in our collection ranging from selvedged tipped ties, to incredible striped ones. Now, we feature two wonderful striped denim ties in our collection and a fantastic unfinished selvedge raw denim. One of teh stripes is a restock of a lined Railroad Stripe. It’s a simple, continuous and consistent stripe much like railroad tracks laid side by side by side. It was a HUGE hit, and the first tie that sold out completely at our Styleforum x A&H Magazine Trunk Show in NYC in November.
The other is a fantastic unlined double stripe tie thats just perfect for Spring’s more casual occasions. This denim has just a touch of stretch to it which makes it extremely comfortable to wear, and being unlined allows it to really showcase the fabrics natural wearability.
Lastly, available now, is a real denim head tie. I thick, raw, unwashed and unlined Japanese Selvedge Three Fold. This tie makes an awesome statement and can be beaten to hell and back without wearing out on you. It may not be as office friendly as the last two which we feel could be seen in some of the more creative offices, but is a statement on its own with its raw and unfinished selvedge edge on both tips.
